HR Manager – Military and Commercial Systems Engineering

Job Description SummaryIn this critical and exciting role you will support three client groups of people leaders and employees, with hourly and salaried population (Total population ~ 300). This role is located onsite at the Victorville, CA site.
Responsibilities include:
• First point of contact providing leadership, coaching, mentoring and guidance
• Partner closely with people leaders building strong business relationships and working together to appropriately drive cultural initiatives, career development and succession planning
• Maintain FAA Drug Pool Testing Process
• Support “horizontal” teams across Military & Commercial Engineering orgs including stand alone GE Test site in Victorville and Edwards Airforce Base in California, as well in Cincinnati, OH.
• HR Business partner for two Executive Engineering Leaders, Commercial - Flight Test Operations and Military - Large Military Engineering Systems & Design.

Roles and Responsibilities

A first point of contact for employees & managers who provides leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes. For use in businesses that are operating in the HR Partnership Model.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Related HR generalist experience
Ability to work full-time at our Victorville, CA site
