Role: Graduate Electronics Design Engineer

Location(s): Harlow

Travel: Occasional travel to UK facilities and overseas as required for the role and Early Careers events

Starting Salary: 32,000, plus 3,000 welcome payment and company benefits

Type: Permanent – 1st 2 years graduates complete the GDP structured training programme in addition to day job.  As part of the GDP there are biannual pay reviews in years 1 & 2.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electronics Design Engineer working within the Raytheon UK Air Traffic Management Business area. The role will provide support to both the radar Design Authority and the hardware development team, and you will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Design of analogue and digital circuits for Air Traffic Radar systems. To take responsibility for the design and overall quality of the hardware under the supervision of the Product Design Authority.
  • Documentation of design specifications and implementation details. Taking part in design reviews. Upholding of hardware design standards and methodologies.
  • Realisation of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions.
  • Collaboration with other team members (including both hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc.
  • Development of appropriate test hardware and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove the correct operation of hardware.
  • Providing support to manufacturing answering product queries & resolving technical issues.
  • Monitoring and reporting of progress of development to immediate supervisor.
  • Proactively support company compliance to Health and Safety legislation through adherence to company polices, processes and practices.
  • Ensuring that all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies and ethics codes of conduct.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering/Aerospace Electronic Engineering/Electronic Engineering (already achieved or to be completed by 1 September 2025)
  • The successful candidate will be required to complete the SC Security Clearance application. Please visit the government website for further information: National security vetting: clearance levels - GOV.UK
  • Flexibility on location and ability to travel to our UK facilities and overseas
  • Excellent STEM skills demonstrated through academic achievement
  • A passion for succeeding in a fast-paced, technology industry
