Description:Lockheed Martins Missiles and Fire Control business is experiencing growth and is looking to hire a Field Engineer at its Archbald, PA facility.
What You Will Be Doing
Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customers organization. Specific Job Description: Performs depot level repairs, modifications, refurbishments of customer equipment in a depot and on naval vessels.
• Performs repair, rework, fault isolation, troubleshooting, and acceptance test of mechanical, electrical, structural subsystems and complete systems.
• Operates automated or general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) and uses knowledge of basic electronic and optical theory to read, interpret engineering drawings and schematics to conduct fault isolation of defective components.
• Utilizes precision measuring equipment to verify compliance to engineering specifications and tolerances
• Works with hazardous materials and chemicals, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

Lockheed Martin Archbald is a full-service Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility that provides design, manufacturing, engineering, & field service support for both domestic and international customers. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Ability to travel up to 50 of the time.
Ability to carry 50 pounds up and down stairs and through tight corridors.
Ability to read and comprehend production drawings.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret
Security Clearance. therefore must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with equipment engineering change installations (Field Changes, Engineering Changes, Field Modification Bulletins)
- Experience with cable (both copper and fiber) fabrication and testing.
- Experience in design, integration, and/or installation engineering with knowledge of USN ship power system equipment..
- Ability to read and comprehend military specifications for electrical and optical cable, connector, backshell, and system design, integration, and integrity testing.
- Knowledge of automated and/or general purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) used in a depot
- Knowledge of fault isolation for electro-mechanical and electro-optical components
- Knowledge of concepts for hardware repair
- Experience with soldering and wire wrap techniques

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
