Purpose:
The USB Engineering Co-Op will work closely with the USB engineering team to provide design details for power generation auxiliary equipment assemblies including gas purity monitoring, hydrogen gas dryers, generator condition monitoring, and custom projects combining several technologies. This would be a 6 month Co-Op term starting in January 2025 and running through July 2025.
Core Responsibilities:
- Aides and participates in product design projects for mechanical/electrical components and assemblies.
- Creates 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for complex components and assemblies in support of reverse engineering/redesign of existing products.
- Effectively communicates with all departments to accurately capture design requirements.
- Data entry of engineering changes for revisions and new assemblies.
- Follows and implements proper design standards and develops component specifications and/or electrical circuit designs per ISO standards.
- Opportunities to assist Quality and Production teams available if desired.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor&39;s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another related Engineering major.
- Prior experience in a relevant Engineering discipline is desired.
- Relevant exposure to design, build, and test complex electro/mechanical assemblies is desired.
- Some proficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent), ANSI/ASME Y14.5, and 3D Modeling (SolidWorks, ProE, Inventor) desired.
- Proficiency in MS Office required.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $20.00 to $22.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year.
