Job Description:
Engineer Aerospace/Mechanical TH-57/73

The incumbent will work closely with and report to site Program Management.

The TH-57/73 core/non-core engineer will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of activities to support maintaining the TH-57 and TH-73 aircraft directly. The selected applicant must be knowledgeable of the US Navy mission, shipboard aircraft operations, and Naval Aviation Training. The aerospace/mechanical engineer will work closely with the US Navys TH-57/73 Fleet Support Team to identify and resolve technical issues. The engineer will support TH-57/73 depot operations and will resolve problems encountered including availability of required repair parts. They will provide direct support for the TH-57/73 Supply Chain realm. Duties will include resolution of technical issues associated with component availability including identifying and developing new sources, resolving technical issues raised by suppliers, and resolving quality issues identified by suppliers. Additionally, support of the TH-57/73 Supply Chain will require routine interfacing with Export/Import contacts for component classification, development of license documents, and Technical Assistance Agreements with foreign suppliers. The engineers knowledge of aircraft production/manufacturing as well as aircraft depot operations and planning will be utilized to support the Service Life Extension Program for the aircraft and systems. This requires engineers to possess good verbal and written communication skills as they interface and provide technical assistance to both internal and external customers while working in an aircraft sustainment environment.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Aeronautical and Electrical Engineering will be considered.
  • Must have knowledge of aircraft design including structures and systems. Knowledge of US Navy aircraft requirements desired. Knowledge of the TH-57/73 is a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to travel as required.
Work Experience

  • Experience with military aircraft maintenance and production is desired.
