Summary
The Engine Shop Lead will oversee and manage engine testing operations, ensuring that testing procedures are carried out efficiently, safely, and effectively. You will be responsible for coordinating test schedules, leading a team of technicians, analyzing test data, and ensuring that testing equipment is properly maintained.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead engine testing activities from setup to completion, ensuring compliance with testing protocols and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate test schedules and resources to meet project deadlines.
  • Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Analyze test data and prepare reports for engineering teams and management.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during testing and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine testing procedures.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to provide input on test strategies and project planning.
  • Maintain documentation related to testing activities, including test plans, procedures, and results.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be added.
 
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in engine testing or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of engine systems and testing methodologies.
  • Experience leading a team of technicians.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification in engine testing or a related area.
  • Experience with engine test cell operations and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard testing software and tools.
Salary Range: $45.00/hour to $60.00/hour
