Electrical Component Test Engineer III
Kent, WA
Contract Position
$65.06 - $78.75/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans, procedures, and scripts for shock, vibration, thermal, humidity, and vacuum testing of high and low voltage flight hardware.
- Conduct power-on, functional, acceptance, and qualification tests, documenting results for high and low voltage distribution, power regulation, and conversion hardware.
- Support hardware integration and the use of analysis tools to verify unit requirements and performance.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a lab environment.
- Assist with wiring, hardware installation, and test bench setup for integration and testing activities.
- Participate in design and system reviews, providing feedback on integration and testability throughout project phases.
- Contribute to program-level technology development, mission assurance, safety initiatives, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of electronics hardware development, such as high-voltage switching and power regulation.
- Experience with analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuit design, including analysis, simulation, testing, troubleshooting, and part selection.
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power, grounding, and general board layout principles.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting special electronic test equipment.
- Proficiency in standard electronic lab tests and troubleshooting tools.
- Programming experience in C++ and/or Python.
- NI LabVIEW / TestStand experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with large-scale verification of avionics on autonomous spaceflight systems.
- Experience supporting testbeds for spaceflight systems.
- Proficiency with electrical design and analysis tools (LTSpice, PSpice, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, Simscape).
