Development, Security & Operations Engineer (DevSecOps)

As a DevSecOps Engineer - Associate at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for support in the development of new principles and concepts as well as supporting DevSecOps practices, techniques, and standards. Work alongside the SME in the development and configuration of the DevSecOps Environment, development and integration of various DevSecOps Software Factories, and the development and configuration of the DevSecOps Software Factory Dashboards.

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of GitLab, Ansible Vault, Terraform, Kubernetes w/PODMAN, and Palo Alto Prisma.
- Some experience with DevSecOps pipelines and Software Factory dashboards.
- Ability to implement build pipelines with GitLab CI/CD for software and infrastructure builds.
- Ability to create, automate and execute test scripts to perform coverage testing and ensure that every software feature functions as designed using automated test frameworks (e.g., pytest, JUnit).
- Manually perform or automate the generation of test data where feasible.
- Exposure with software version control (Git).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum and iterative development methodologies.
- Exposure working in a Linux environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.
This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment.
Desired Qualifications:
- DoD IA Workforce Certifications; CompTIA, Sec+, ISC2 CISSP or equivalent.
- Know of object-oriented design and coding skills (Java, Python, C++).
- Test, fix, and perform root cause analysis for bugs found in test harness.
- Container (e.g., Podman) and container orchestration experience (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of RESTful patterns.
- Aptitude & interest in learning and applying reverse engineering skills.
- Experience with or on, the GMD program, working with the Missile Defense Agency Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

$70,000- $125,000
