Carbon Material u0026 Process Engineer M/F

Job Description:

1.tProcess Design & Optimization:
a.tDevelop & improve Textile manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, yield and product quality.
b.tConduct process simulation, feasibility studies & risk assessment.
c.tImplement lean manufacturing methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variability.
d.tRecommend and implement changes to materials and processes based on results of experimental evaluations.

2.tProduction Support & Troubleshooting:
a.tCreate and maintain clear manufacturing process sequence and technique documents for compliance, ease and efficiency of manufacturing.
b.tMonitor production processes and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
c.tInvestigate and resolve process-related issue including root cause analysis and participate material review board (MRB).
d.tLead support and training of Safran Landing Systems manufacturing personnel and maintenance team for new process and equipment.
e.tCollaborate with maintenance and manufacturing team regarding respective carbon manufacturing equipment and its auxiliaries, including routine operation, emergency procedures and safety considerations.
f.tProvide technical support and guidance to the team and Operations/Maintenance, including establishment of SOPs, WIs and Special Manufacturing Request updates.

3.tQuality and compliance:
a.tEnsure processes meet industry standard and regulatory requirements (Aviation Regulation, EN9100, OSHA etc).
b.tLead and implement the processes changes accordingly to technical definition changes.
c.tLead and perform the process and equipment qualification and validation accordingly to Safran Landing Systems process and procedures including perform First Article Inspection (FAI).
d.tDevelop and maintain documentation (standard operating procedure (SOPs), work instruction, SMR, PFMEA etc.)

4.tData analysis & reporting:
a.tCollaborate with data engineer to collect and analyze production data to identify trends and improvements opportunities.
b.tPrepare reports on process performance, KPIs and project outcomes.
c.tUtilize statistical tools for process control and optimization.

5.tProject Management:
a.tLead and support process improvement projects from conception to implementation.
b.tCoordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, supply chain, quality) to ensure project success.
c.tManage budget, timelines and resources for engineering projects.
d.tEvaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment and automation solutions.
e.tStay updated on industry trends and best practises in process engineering.

Job Requirements:

1.\tBachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent applicable experience required. Related technical field preferred. Masters degree would be a plus
2.\tMinimum 3 years working experience in related technical field, such as Wafers Manufacturing Industry, Composite, Carbon or its equivalent.
3.\tStrong knowledge in material science, and chemical engineering
4.\tExcellent oral and written communication skills of English language.
5.\tAble to read technical material, technical drawing, PFDs and P&IDs, develop analysis and make recommendations.
6.\t“Hands on” approach to problem solving and troubleshooting.
7.\tGood computer skills especially with Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Experience with DCS, Data Mining, Statistical Analysis, Minitab, Power BI…etc
8.\tExperience in Aerospace industry will be an advantaged.
