Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated systems that enhance our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, control systems, and industrial automation, with a focus on optimizing efficiency, quality, and safety.

- Create and implement robust, scalable, and high-quality automation solutions for a manufacturing environment
- Identify and specify required equipment and subsystems to improve on new and existing manufacturing process
- Devise specification and in-depth documentation for their design of automation system and subsystems
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance in trouble shooting and maintaining automated processes.
- Create, Control and Modify programs for various control systems (examples include CNC, PLC/HMI, etc.)
- Design, quote, and create equipment/fixtures to aid production processes (structure, process, wiring, sensors).
- Evaluate part drawings and sketches to understand product design and specification in developing manufacturing equipment.
- Provide training for all associates on new equipment operations
- Utilize the plan, do, check, act cycle when installing & debugging new equipment.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or automation engineering required.
- Minimum of 2-4+ years implementing automation or robotics in a manufacturing environment required.
- Excellent project management and coordination skills required.
- Must demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills required.
- Experience with CAD systems required.
- Advanced degree in engineering preferred.
- Experience with industrial robotics from vendors like Universal Robots, ABB, Fanuc, Kuka, etc. preferred. • Experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred. • Experience with designing for Additive Manufacturing, as well as operating 3D printers preferred. • Experience with PLC programming and implementation preferred.
