Assist with performing thermal and fluid dynamics analysis of solid rocket propulsion systems and components under supervision of senior engineering staff. Emphasis will be on analysis requiring knowledge of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Computational Fluid Dynamics. Prepare analysis models, conduct analysis, and review analysis results with the senior analysts. Assist in reducing engine test data to validate results of analysis models.
Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews.
Assist in preparing technical reports documenting all analysis activities.
This position requires a Bachelors degree in a related engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Masters degree is strongly preferred. Coursework in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Dynamics is required. Strong academic track record of success. Knowledge and experience with aerospace product development efforts a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is expected.
