The CNS organization designs, builds, and maintainssome of the worlds most valued safety systems within the Aerospace industry.The product line spans from Radar, Ground Proximity Warning Systems,Instrumented Landing Systems, Communication, Datalink and Navigation Radios,RF, Transponders, Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems and Radar Altimeters.

ABOUT OUR TEAM
As the Center of Excellence (COE) within CNS(Communication, Navigation, Surveillance), we are responsible for the innovation, development, certification anddesign of electronic Aerospace products related to communication, radio navigation andsafe aircraft operation.
TheNavigational Radios - Radar Altimeters is an engineeringgroup within the CNS organization with products spread across commercial, defense and space domains. While part of a large company and diverse organization, the NavRadio-Radar Altimeter group operates very much like a small business in many ways.
As an Advanced Project Engineer you will be part of a team where our key contributors wear multiple "hats" dependent upon the program scope and timeline. Our team is fully integrated in every aspect of a products life cycle - from working with a customer on a concept and subsequent proposal, through development, verification, production, and even obsolescence refreshes.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Project Engineer (PE), our expectation on medium to smaller programs is for the PE to operate as both PE and SE (System Engineer) - managing the cost/schedule of the program along with driving technical discussions and stepping in and executing work where needed - such as drafting technical presentations or data items and maybe even running a test or two in the lab as required. On larger programs, the PE side can be up to a full-time responsibility, managing all program areas technical and programmatic.
You will impact existing product programs, as well as Development Programs supporting CNS products in their full development lifecycle from initial development, through production, post production and customer support.
- Using your project leadership skills and technical engineering aptitude, you will be instrumental in guiding and managing advanced engineering projects for our Avionics product portfolio
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customersand program management
- Participate inproposals and cost estimation, schedule preparation and resource forecasting
- Provide projectoversight of day to day activities to achieve on time and on budgetexecution
- Oversightof risk management process and baseline change processes
- Drive the EVM (EarnedValue Management) process and effective management operating process (MOS).
- "Jump in" and supporttechnical team as needed with small/medium programs
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
YOU MUST HAVE- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Experience in Project Engineering, Project Management, and/or Team Leadership
WE VALUE- Familiaritywith Electronics and RF disciplines is of value.
- Experience in Avionics, Aerospace, Electronics, Automotive, or related industries
- Familiarity with systems development lifecycle with ability to support product development programs
- Ability to lead teamsto practical solutions using RCCA processes
- Ability to scope,estimate, & plan activities or "projects", including resource allocations
- Ability to bridge across functions & organization levels
- Ability to driveactivity execution & report appropriate status to stakeholders
