Advanced Systems Engineer- SDA
Scottsdale, AZ
Contract Position
Senior Advanced Systems Engineer job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space Company. In this job you will participate in requirements analysis and management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, trade studies, systems integration and test (verification) in the development and evaluation of networks and information systems.
Responsibilities:
- Summary: Participate in requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing to support the development of advanced networks and information systems.
- Perform requirements analysis, functional and performance analysis, and detailed trade studies for subsystems and system elements.
- Lead technical planning, risk analysis, and cost-effectiveness evaluations for system development.
- Ensure compliance with governmental security specifications and support system accreditation/certification.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to define processes, system specifications, and hardware/software compatibility.
- Engage in Modeling and Simulation to assess system feasibility and performance.
- Coordinate external interfaces and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) with the GFE WAN provider and project teams.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Clearance:
- U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Experience:
- Expertise in multi-level security domains and cross-domain systems.
- Strong background in system-level networking, with experience coordinating network design.
- Proven ability to manage requirements and avoid scope bloat.
- Familiarity with Agile program methodologies.
- Experience working with related industry partners (Iridium, SDA, Northrop, York, Lockheed) is a plus.
