Supportability Engineering Specialist
Manassas, VA
Contract Position
This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:
- Summary: Analyze project impacts, perform supportability and reliability analysis, and develop engineering documentation to ensure optimal system performance and maintainability.
- Conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Sparing Recommendations, and Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability Analysis.
- Develop and validate Provisioning Technical Data Packages (PTD) and support Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
- Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and communicate fleet impacts.
- Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) using EPDM, ensuring accuracy through coordination with Engineering Leads.
- Use Windchill to perform reliability analysis and generate reports.
- Develop Reliability Centered Maintenance documentation, including Functional Block Diagrams and Maintenance Requirement Cards.
- Provide supportability recommendations to ensure custom electronics are easy to repair and replace.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Expertise with Interactive Computer-Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) and submarine combat systems supportability.
- Familiarity with GEIA-STD-0007, XML/UML, and MIL HDBK 217.
- Experience with Windchill or Opus, and working with BOMs and schematics.
- Proven skills in reliability analysis, configuration management, and maintenance predictions.
