The Opportunity
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
BDA is looking for an experiencedSenior Technical Officer (Avionics) who will join the P-8A Poseidon team. In this role you will be part of the P8 engineering team to deliver technical solutions for operational issues provide modification support, rapid acquisition support and address long term engineering investigations.
This role is based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide.
As a Senior Technical Officer - Avionics within BDA, you will
- Providing Engineering support across the entire P-8A weapon system, consisting of; Aircraft, Mission Support system and Training systems.
- Develop engineering artefacts supported by a robust Engineering Management System, with the opportunity to gain Engineering Authority.
- Develop and evaluate technical documents and instructions
- Liaise with defence stakeholders to support and find solutions for technical issues
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Have experience working as a Technical Officer or Technical Assessor with a proven track record of delivering technical outcomes, including investigation and exposure of system risks, analysis and reporting on technical issues.
- Help build and sustain a technical support team including stakeholder management.
- Have proven written and oral communication skills.
- Have experience working within a Technical Regulatory Framework (or similar)
