- GMRE is currently recruiting for an Electrical Aircraft Technician (4 positions available). This position will be working on a traveling team for 4 years (through September 2028) to various locations and will be eligible for per-diem based on GSA.gov standards. The candidate will start in Tucson, AZ in October 2024. The Electrical Aircraft Technician will perform maintenance and modifications on assigned aircraft using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and other test support equipment.
- Operationally checks all systems, sub-systems, and associated line replaceable unit (LRU) removal and installation.
- Interprets and advises on maintenance procedures and policies to repair aircraft and related equipment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft electrical systems, components, and associated support equipment.
- Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.
- Knowledge is mandatory of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to electrical systems, concepts, and application of maintenance directives.
- Ability to interpret the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Must have the ability to properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.
