Job Description:

Description:This position will support F-16 modification, upgrade and overhaul currently being completed at Spangdahlem Germany. The home office is located in Greenville South Carolina, but this position is permanently assigned to Spangdahlem Germany. It may require domestic and international travel. Selected candidate must be able to obtain/maintain passport for international travel. Additional requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Modifies, services, repairs, & overhauls F-16 aircraft electrical & avionics system to ensure airworthiness. Repairs, replaces & rebuilds aircraft electrical/avionics system & components.

- Performs operational checks, pre/post modification/upgrade/overhaul testing, troubleshooting and repairs aircraft electrical & avionics systems as required.

- Work typically requires a detailed understanding of electrical/avionics circuits and components. Uses complex test instrument and computer control equipment. Work will be reviewed by supervisor and/or Quality for compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance.

- Selected candidate must have experience with understanding technical requirements on F-16 aircraft.

- The successful candidate will be skilled in aircraft electrical systems and aircraft wiring maintenance

- Candidate must be able to read/understand Technical Orders, Wiring Diagrams, Drawings and Work books.

- Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

- Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills.

- Must read, write and speak English fluently.

- Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead.

- This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, repetitive movements and twisting.

- Regularly required to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds

- Must be willing to cover other shifts, if needed

- This position is contingent upon being granted NATO SOFA approval from the German Authorities (See basic qualifications for requirements).

- This position is an unaccompanied assignment. If NATO SOFA status is approved, you might be able to bring spouse at your expense.
Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

- Candidate must be high school graduate or equivalent

- Recent F-16 aircraft maintenance and/or modification activities within the last 5 years

- Experienced in F-16 Avionics and Electrics specialties

- Candidate must have been awarded a 7-Skill level in USAF AFSC, Navy NEC or Marine MOS rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power plant FAA certificate

- Have or be able to attain a Secret security clearance

- Experience with USAF products and processes to include F-16 hardware and maintenance, technical orders and technical drawings, at the organizational and intermediate levels

- Candidate(s) must meet one of the following requirements to be eligible for NATO SOFA in Germany. Any experience using a degree, selected candidate(s) must be able to provide proof (degree or signed official transcript) when completing application for NATO SOFA.
- 11 years aircraft experience without a degree
- 7 years aircraft experience with an associate degree
- 3 years aircraft experience with a bachelors degree

- Must be willing to cover other shifts, if needed, as determined by supervisor.
Desired Skills:
- F16 Nose to Tail experience in either E&E or Avionics career fields

- F16, F22, F35 avionics/electrical experience

- Ability to read blueprints and/or drawings

- Prior Aircraft Modification and Maintenance Experience

- Microsoft Office Suite Skills

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
