Job Description:

Responsible for the development, continuous improvement, and delivery of new corporate aircraft.

Inspection and support:

  • Review and perform conformity inspections on the aircrafts in completions to meet the engineering specification and contractual requirements; Distribute reports for tracking discrepancies and corrective actions;
  • Assist backshop in improving quality based on recurring discrepancies;
  • Support the Quality Assurance department in setting criteria for new vendors and products based on customer expectations;
  • Participate and provide feedback in engineering meetings:
  • Conduct digital Mock Up review and Internal Specification Review;
  • Lead customer meetings focused on engineering review;
  • Anticipate and raise any delivery preparation concerns and share customer feedback from previous experiences;

Review commercial contracts:

  • Review commercial contract and ensure specifications are met;
  • Create delivery documents for aircraft and communicate with contracts team on potential issues;
  • Quality assurance support for flight test:
  • Quality assurance support during flight test (test passenger systems, and support flight crew in gathering data and performed functional test checklists);
  • Activate avionics and documentation services for the customer in time for delivery;
  • Report to headquarters and customer on aircraft flight test status and progress;

Customer Primary Point of Contact:

  • Support the completions facility in customer experience improvement;
  • Serve as customer primary point of contact during visits to the completion facility, delivery, inspections, and tours;
  • Distribute progress reports on completion activities;
  • Coordinate industrial priorities with production teams;
  • Coordinate communication efforts with HQ, Contracts, Sales, and Customer Support;
  • Assess project status versus the industrial master schedule and provide HQ feedback on milestones and possible delays;

Aircraft delivery:

  • Manage all aspects of the delivery activities for the customer teams and completions center;
  • Coordinate meetings and interactions with outside vendors;
  • Participate in closing class and sign the contractual delivery documents;
  • Negotiate squawk list with customer team;
  • Distribute entry-into-service documents;

Post Delivery:

  • Follow up with the customers technical team after delivery to determine the condition of the aircraft and their satisfaction with it, and to initiate any necessary corrective action;
  • Assess recurring issues and communicate to the completions and engineering groups;
  • Customer Experience;
  • Create new template documents for improved communication;
  • Support the completions facility in finding ways to improve the customer experience;
  • Work with various department to improve process for increased efficiency and better customer interaction;
  • Completions facility support;
  • Participate in meetings to provide customer feedback to the facility;
  • Assist production efforts in trouble shooting and resolving issues.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree (or foreign equivalent of bachelors degree) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field

EXPERIENCE:

Five years of experience with the following:

  • Aircraft delivery engineering
  • Customer completions (business jet industry)
  • Completions Specifications
  • Drawings and Engineering Definition
  • 3D processes using CATIA / PLM.

Experience may have been gained concurrently.

Occasional overnight travel is required internationally and nationally.

Salary: $118,893.00
