Position Summary
Tactical Air Support is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) for our Reno location. Under general supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager, the QAR will monitor and evaluate all processes and procedures of the supply chain procedures and tasks in accordance with local SOP's and ISO standards. Tactical Air Logistics provides parts and products to our own fleet of aircraft supporting flight services for US Navy and Air Force contracts across the United States as well as providing parts to external customers. Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring the Logistics Department with adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain quality management systems to conform with Tactical Air and AS9100 standards.
- Perform inspections and internal audits of all actions within the supply chain including receiving, storing, and shipping to assess compliance with quality management systems and standards
- Collaborate with internal, and external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
- Investigate nonconformities and implement corrective and preventive actions to address root cause and prevent recurrence.
- Review and approve documentation, including control records, validation protocols, and change management.
- Maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary within the realm of the Quality Assurance department.
- Conduct training for company personnel.
- Cross-train and assist other priority efforts within the company.
- Work independently in an on-site role.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED with 2 plus years of experience in supply chain or quality assurance.
- Possess knowledge and experience with Quality Assurance procedures and ISO quality system standards.
- Experience with supply chain solutions to include parts and product procurement, storage, and distribution.
- Ability to work effectively with various work groups to assure conformance to quality and regulatory requirements internal processes and policies.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- PC Skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
- Valid state driver's license.
- US. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.
Work Authorization and Environment
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
- Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) is required.
- Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications are required.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
- Specific work hours are determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
- Occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime work may be required.
- Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
