Boeing Global Enterprise Services is seeking a Business Support Specialist/Site Focal, who supports and integrates activities within the Sheffield Manufacturing site ensuring legislative compliance for Boeing Global Enterprise Services (BGES).
The Business Support Specialist/Site Focal provides administrative and customer support to facilitate on-site activities. Supports project and process plans and in the implementation of policies and procedures. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders and peers. Supports multiple administrative processes. Responds to customer requests.
This is a 14 months Fixed Term position.
Position Responsibilities:
The Business Support Specialist/Site Focal role is positioned to ensure the smooth and seamless operation of the Boeing Sheffield manufacturing site providing multi-disciplinary business process and compliance support for the facility, working closely with internal business functions and external contractors and suppliers.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Operations management and compliance, business support services and multiple delegated business activities such as Facilities & Asset Management, Finance & Business, Security & Fire Protection and Indirect Supply Chain.
- Develops and sustains mutually beneficial relationships with business partners, stakeholders and peers
- Manages facility operations, property planning and project administration, and facilities provisioning
- Responsible for site/entity compliance with local laws, Boeing policies and procedures, develops and manages the operating budget.
- Leads teams to design, develop and implement organisational policies, programs, processes and procedures for the purpose of safeguarding people, property, information and the environment while ensuring compliance with applicable government and company security and fire regulations (e.g., business preparedness, evacuation plan and crisis management, secure badge renewals)
- Build relationship with FM providers to ensure Boeing site operation consistency is adhered.
- Overseeing International Facilities Management (IFM) contractor activities and partners with relevant internal organisations to evaluate IFM contractor proposals to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
- Monitoring and coordinating project implementation activities to ensure cost, schedule and regulatory requirements are met
- Administering all site facilities including IFM contractor activities, Contractor Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMs), creates and issues IFM contractor permits for work ensuring safe IFM contractor induction in line with Boeing ‘Go 4 Zero’ policies/procedures and UK Health & Safety Law
- Providing cost/schedule visibility such as management and IFM contractor reviews to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
- Identifying and develops acceptable, efficient and affordable solution options for business needs
- Business reporting – Weekly and monthly metrics. Compilation and tracking of business data
- Management of owned and delegated budgets
- Supervising reception staff (where applicable) and ensures compliant site visitor processing and site inductions
- Supporting invoice management process
- Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Must be a proactive, assertive, high energy individual and can work efficiently in an environment where priorities can change frequently.

- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written communication across all levels of the business.
- Have experience working with and building relationships with a wide range of individuals/business partners within an organisation.
- Be computer literate with excellent experience of MS Office. Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
- A prior facilities management role is a requirement
- Facilities Management (FM) experience in an operational site, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience of managing PPM’s via an FM management tool.
- IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) essential, NEBOSH General Certificate – highly desirable.
- Health & Safety knowledge and skills required (IOSH Risk Management, COSHH Assessments)
- Experience of balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- Must be flexible, articulate and have some financial acumen.
- Requirement to work flexible hours to support business needs.
- Experience with EHS is beneficial
