SSSD has an opening for a Budget Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
The Budget Analyst will provide functional support to the Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) organization. The selected candidate will work in a team environment with SSSD business management personnel to develop common processes, develop and monitor resources and must be able to interface with various levels of management. This position requires the incumbent selected to be self-motivated and have strong written and oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, and technical skills. Position supports the Operations Business Manager and all functions and levels within the Directorates.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recommends and interprets budgetary policies and procedures
- Prepare resource baseline forecasts (Indirect, NCTA, Capital)
- Prepare weekly and monthly monitoring of Indirect expenses
- Prepare comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds
- Prepare variances explanations between actual costs and budget
- Prepare Staffing projections for organization
- Monitor and maintain Functional Allocation targets
- Analyzes trends and provide ad hoc support to leadership
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience in Business Administration/Management, Finance, or Economics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work with Government Aerospace/Defense industry
- Familiarity with budgeting process
- Technical Skills to include SAP/BW, Excel, PowerPoint

Salary Range: $65,600 - $98,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
