Responsibilities:
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties, such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling subledgers by verifying posted accounting transactions
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Keeping track of prepaids and accruals
- Assisting with Accounts Payable processes
- Assisting with month end close process
- Performing other duties as directed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Fixed asset accounting experience recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets
- Experience in cost accounting performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports; assessing business expenses and overseeing expense reports, analyzing data on purchases or the incurred costs regarding goods and services received from vendors, and preparing budget plans and recommendations for cost-efficiency
- Maintenance accounting experience with repair and maintenance costs, including the identification, recognition, measurement, and disclosure of company expenses to keep its tangible assets in good operating condition.
- Solid understanding of month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Strong understanding of the reconciliation process, emphasizing accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Proficiency in using ERP systems to manage financial transactions and streamline processes
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure compliance in financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with month-end GL activities, showcasing expertise in GL management
- Experience in accounts payable management is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and trends
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; MBA a plus
- A minimum of four years of accounting, budgeting, and financial experience required
- Airline, cruise, transportation, logistics, or manufacturing experience desired
- CPA Required

- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, FBI fingerprinting, and criminal history check
- Must be able to read, analyze, and understand financial reports
- Must be able to communicate with customers, vendors, and teammates in a professional manner
